 Recipe Time

Marinating Time: 15–30 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30–40 minutes
Servings: 4

 Ingredients

500g boneless chicken thighs (or breast), thinly sliced
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
2 spring onions, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste

 Step-by-Step Cooking Guide

Step 1: Make the Marinade (2 minutes)

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Stir until combined.

Step 2: Marinate the Chicken (15–30 minutes)

Add the sliced chicken and onions to the marinade. Toss well so the chicken is coated completely.
Let it rest for at least 15 minutes (you can prep your rice or veggies while it marinates).

Step 3: Cook the Chicken (10 minutes)

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden brown and slightly sticky.

Tip: Don’t overcrowd the pan — it helps the chicken caramelize beautifully

Step 4: Add Finishing Touch (2 minutes)

Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions. Mix well and turn off the heat.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

Serve your Korean BBQ Chicken hot with steamed rice, noodles, or lettuce wraps for a light, fun, and tasty meal
