Creamy Mushroom Pasta Recipe – Step by Step Guide


Introduction:

Ingredients (2 servings)


Pasta (penne or fettuccine) – 200g


Mushrooms – 200g, sliced


Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped


Garlic – 3 cloves, minced


Olive oil – 1 tbsp


Butter – 1 tbsp


Heavy cream – 100ml


Parmesan cheese – 30 g, grated


Salt – to taste


Black pepper – ½ tsp


Italian herbs (oregano/basil) – 1 tsp


Fresh parsley – for garnish




Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions


Step 1: Boil the Pasta

1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pan.

2. Add a pinch of salt and 1 tsp olive oil.

3. Cook pasta according to package instructions (8–10 min) until al dented.

4. Drain the pasta and drizzle with a little olive oil; set aside.



Step 2: Saute the Mushrooms


1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan.


2. Saute onions and garlic until golden brown.


3. Add mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes on medium heat until soft and slightly browned.



Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce


1. Pour in heavy cream and mix well.

2. Add grated Parmesan cheese and cook on low flame for 2–3 minutes.

3. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs. Adjust to taste.



Step 4: Combine Pasta and Sauce


1. Add boiled pasta to the creamy mushroom sauce.

2. Toss well so the pasta is fully coated with the sauce.

3. Garnish with fresh parsley.


Step 5: Serve


1. Serve the pasta warm.


2. Optional: Sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on top.
